SON Plugfest 2016: Summary test report

This report summarizes the outcomes of the Small Cell LTE Plugfest 2016 that was organised by the ETSI Centre for Testing and Interoperability in partnership with the Small Cell Forum, and hosted at Telecom Italia Mobile (TIM) laboratories in Naples from 27 June – 08 July 2016. The main features addressed during the test sessions were: multi-vendor self-optimizing networks (SON), which will enable reduced interference between small cells, as well as providing more efficient handover, mobility, small cell/macro handover, voice over LTE (VoLTE), HeMS as well as emergency alerts (CMAS).
