Femtocell synchronisation and location: topic brief

This white paper is one in a series of “topic briefs” to be published by the Small Cell Forum marketing group on various technical and commercial topics. The objectives of this particular paper are: 1) to state explicit and implicit requirements for synchronization and location determination in femtocells; and 2) to discuss at a high level, and in an unbiased manner, the various technical solutions available to system designers for satisfying the requirements.
