Release Five
Release Five: Rural & Remote, is the next stage of the Small Cell Forum to support and enhance coverage in rural and remote areas, helping bring quality mobile voice and fast data to just about anywhere.
Release Five will take the learning and expertise that has brought small cells – low-power wireless access points that operate in licensed spectrum – to homes, businesses and city centers, and apply it to isolated areas where mobile coverage can be patchy or non-existent. Release Five will be completed early next year and launched at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona in March 2015.
