2017 is SCF's tenth anniversary. In a further ten years, by 2027, we expect 5G to be part of the mainstream market – and small cells to be a major enabler for both 5G and the markets it will enable.

The latest outputs from the Small Cell Forum Release Program examine the promise and challenge of achieving our vision for 5G: the new deployment processes, technologies, spectrum, business models, and markets 5G will need or enable, and the role of 4G in laying the groundwork for this vision.

These papers also focus in the crucial role collaboration and partnerships will play. The task of building an ecosystem around small cell densification for 5G will mean collaboration between vendors, operators and industry organizations on a much greater scale than ever before. The potential of small cells as enablers for 5G is undeniably enormous. By working together as an industry we can make sure that small cells fulfill that potential.
