Role of SON in the HetNet deployment process

This document describes how SON has already achieved great things by enabling the self-install deployment model for residential and enterprise small cells. It provides an overview of many SON features that are now proven and trusted by operators to autonomously manage key parameter settings for network technologies. It then looks ahead to consider operator requirements that require taking SON to the next level and automating more complex sets of interrelated parameters
