HetNet and SON overview

This document provides an overview of our outputs associated with HetNet and SON, which mobile operators have identified as central platforms of their next generation networks. Recent research indicates that over 80% of MNOs will deploy non-residential small cells and SON by 2020, as part of a HetNet program, and over 40% will start during 2016.The document also acts as a portal, providing links to all the relevant source material.
